250Mb is adequate for a personal blog or very simple website. 500Mb would be required if you had a product catalogue or intend to upload image galleries for a portfolio for example. 1000Mb would be required if you intend to have a large blog with hundreds of pages, maybe a social networking style website with lots of users.
